Short Cut Star Bread

This Star Bread is a big hit in our home for the holidays! It’s so delicious and easy to make. I use store bought crescent dough, which is perfect if you’re in a time crunch, but you can feel free to make your own dough.  For easier directions, watch my YouTube video below and I will show you how!

  • Make two more circles with dough, repeating steps above.
  • Spread butter on first layer of dough, then spread Nutella over butter.
  • Lay next layer of dough on top, and spread butter and Nutella over dough. Repeat until you have 3-4 layers of dough with butter and Nutella in between.
  • Place a small round cup in center of dough. Cutting around the circle, cut dough into 4 triangles.
  • Cut each triangle into 3 small triangles, for a total of 12 triangles.
  • Remove cup. Taking two triangles at a time, twist dough outward & pinch ends together. Continue until star is complete.
  • Brush butter over top, and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • If desired, sprinkle powdered sugar on top after baking. Enjoy!
