Spring Cleaning

One of my favorite things to do during Holy Week is to spend time deep cleaning and de-cluttering our home. This is a great activity for the kids to take part in as well. It’s a very tangible way to prepare ourselves for the Easter celebration!

I usually dedicate Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Holy Week to spring cleaning.  I make a list ahead of time that includes all the more detailed cleaning chores that I don’t do on a daily basis- like cleaning the oven, backsplash, refrigerator, and baseboards! This is also a terrific time to get the kids involved with organizing-they can go through old toys and sort out what they can give away. It can be an great act of service for them too!
